A newly minted collection of Soldier’s laments, heart-songs and patriotic tunes originating from the American Civil War, the Spanish-American War, and World War I, all recorded between 1924 and 1939. Highlights of this collection include tracks from FIDDLIN’ JOHN CARSON, WADE MAINER, WILLIAM & VERSEY SMITH, BUELL KAZEE, EARL JOHNSON, and DARBY & TARLTON. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this album will be donated to Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA.org).
