Yeti returns with a twelfth issue and a new format—an 8-inch square book with a vinyl 7-inch stapled inside the back cover. In the book you get a portfolio of photos from the ALAN LOMAX ARCHIVES circa his 1959 “Southern Journey,” Translator/poet MARGARITA SHALINA’s personal look at the NYC 1980s hardcore punk scene, KIM SPURLOCK’s heavily annotated trove of NEAL CASSIDY ephemera, Jamaican Gospel 7-inch label scans, drawings by TIM MILLER, JAMES TROTTER & JANA CLEVELAND, a look at 1990s Sacto surfers THE TIKI MEN, an interview with author SUSAN BERNOFSKY, an image-heavy interview by CHRIS KIRKLEY (Sahel Sounds) with contemporary African sign painter THIAM BELLOU, and more. The 7-inch inclues unheard songs by MISSISSIPPI FRED MCDOWELL (two unreleased 1959 Alan Lomax recordings), THE TIKI MEN, and GROUPER.
