This is Missoula's first exclusive, entirely vinyl compilation! Features Ex-Cocaine (Siltbreeze, Not Not Fun, Killertree), Poor School (Ecstatic Peace, Killertree, etc.), Volumen (Wantage),Johnny Apple (ex Oblio Joes), and a pile of excellent, touring newcomers: Chin Up Meriwether!, RazzM'Tazz, Duel, Cabinet of Natural Curiosities, the Hills Bros, Travis Sehorn and Pebble Light, Two Year Touqe, Eyes Like Candy and Riddilin Que. Top Notch! is an excellent example of the weirdo/punk/hippie amalgam that defines western Montana's independent music. NIKI hand-picked the gems that make this thing up, then hand silk-screened the covers (which features artist WALLY CATTON’s psychedelic artwork). This comp rolls seamlessly from free-jazz locked-grooves, to Oneida-like space pummeling, back over to some of the "New Weird" stuff and back to thoroughly sticky, excellent pop and even some thuggy psychedelia. Hand-numbered edition of 312 copies on colored vinyl.
